When not in use for long periods of time (read: while you’re asleep, at school, or stuffed in your locker for the rest of the day), hit the power button on your laptop instead of simply putting it to sleep. Just like you when you’re famished and fatigued, an afternoon nap won’t do - you’ll need a nice long, rest-‘till-your-body’s-sculpted-on-the-mattress type sleep. Oh, and that way you’re saving 40 watt-hours per day and again, prolonging your laptop’s battery life.
